China Launches Military Exercises as Pelosi Completes Taiwan Visit

China is warning that Nancy Pelosi's Taiwan visit will have a "severe impact" on ties with the United States, while the House speaker made clear in Taipei that Washington would not abandon Taiwan in the face of Beijing threats. VOA Senior Diplomatic Correspondent Cindy Saine reports.

During Pelosi’s visit, dozens of US fighters and Japanese fighters departed from Japan, including F-35 Stealth fighter and the F-22 “just in case”.

Pelosi was also protected by 18 fighters that flew east of Taiwan, 2 small carriers carrying F-35 fighters, 1 Super-Carrier carrying 70 fighters, and the largest submarines in the US navy capable of launching 192 nuclear ballistic missiles in less than a minute. These submarines are the most advanced and quiet in the world, known to have followed Chinese ships and subs around for weeks undetected.

Japan and the US were ready and are ready now to defend Taiwan.

Taiwan is a part of China because China has 2 parts due to civil war, Taiwan of China and mainland of China. Currently both 2 parts have their own administrations but UN and almost all countries admit mainland China as the country China. Sooner or later both parts will be united because separation caused by civil war should not last long.

What will USA do after this ? Just pat it's own back for doing a great job and carry on business with China as usual or take this cold conflict forward. I suggest USA should request other friendly countries like India to visit Taiwan as show of solidarity with USA and Taiwan. However USA should provide the necessary security to Indian leaders as in the case palosi's visit. I am sure India will not disappoint USA. This will be mutually beneficial to usa, Taiwan and India.However if USA cannot do this it should just apologize to China and Taiwan on its one time misadventure so that Taiwan lives in peace.

My earlier comment:
USA will ignore China's warning but will not do anything in the long term. American is used to pleasing and pampering the comunist war monger China but ignores a peaceful democratic India. If USA is really serious about world peace first it should boycott all Chinese goods and Americans should not go on luxury travel to China effectively cut off all its income and reduce it's economic power which is the cause of it's arrogance. Also usa should stop selling American technology companies to China which is used to enhance its military power. Will USA do that at least now ?
