The judge is protecting the court, including the jury, against Trump's public statements. Trump is free to say anything he wants except anything that endangers the integrity of the court.

Cohen is definitely not a likable guy. That could be a huge problem in this case. He promised to back off attacking Trump during the trial but unfortunately he didn’t. Both men intimidate, threaten and are vindictive by nature. Problem is that Cohen can’t shut up and won’t shut up about vengeance and keeps barking at anyone who will listen. He might be telling the truth about Trump but there’s shitloads of opportunity for defense lawyers to pin things on Cohen’s spite and vengefulness to cause some doubt with jurors. In any way it is not going to be pretty 🤷🏻‍♀️
