Regardless of Feinstein's personal condition, she is a leader. A Senator isn't one person sitting in a cubicle. She has teams of trusted people to carry out her duties other than actual votes. Especially such a long term Senator, she has this whole thing on speed dial. So if she wants to ride out this last term, I'm all for it.

Manhattan and most of NYC is entirely below sea level. They would have the infrastructure to maintain it, except they haven't maintained crap. The pumps, the power lines, they should have been able to handle Superstorm Sandy with ease by design, but it's all barely working and falling apart.

While everyone is searching for reasons to regulate the companies themselves, they are overlooking the problem lies in humanity. The reason violent, gory, inappropriate material appears in social media feeds is because humans continue to click on them. The algorithm is universally applied, meaning it's not providing undue assistance in promoting the material, instead, it's unspoken desire of American culture to view this content that pushes the worst of humanity to the forefront. Maybe it's time lawmakers stop taking a hard look at technology companies, and start looking at the society they built and how it affects everyday life. Social media is another multimedia, in a long line of them, that is the current crutch for a lack of social self reflection. I'm old enough to remember when it was television ruining society, then video games, and so on. At some point, America will have to reckon with the society it, and no one else, built.
