The U.S. corporate media places much emphasis on the "children" of the troubled American tourists in *Turks and Caicos, * talking about how they could "miss their dads" due to detention for illegal carriage of firearms. Where was all this concern for the children of the incarcerated *in the United States?* Many children have to deal with single parents due to *incarcerated parents in the U.S.'s large prison* population. Marginalized communities are the most affected.
