Good, he woulda fucked that up too, he told luke he needed to kill vader, but he didnt need to kill him, he j needed to have faith in him, what no one wants to talk ab is yoda is as dogmatic as Palpatine, they are eachothers opposites and in that theyre more alike than either would care to admit, yoda told obi wan he had to kill vader, but if obiwan would have j let padme go to anakin or maybe idk not stowaway on her ship it all would have gone very differently i guarantee that if he showed up in his own ship anakin wlda been more inclined to listen to him, ive found while rewatching is the #1 problem is no body talks to eachother anakins entire fall is 1 giant miscommunication, or failure to communicate. The "no romantic attachment" part of the code didnt exist until the clone wars, safe to say it didnt work out to well. Yodas unyieldingness was the jedi orders downfall, i dont know why it never occuredbti anyone that darkside nexus under the jedi temple on coruscant was disrupting their ability to use the force, ur telling me no one noticed that coming back from being offworld the force felt strange in the temple? Different than all the other jedi temples scattered across the galaxy? I like yoda dont get me wrong, but hes the definition of failing upwards, the coucil was racked with the same bureaucratic indecision as the senate, the jedi were supposed to help people but by the time of the clone wars idek how anyone coukd attempt to justify it, dooku saw it a mile away, 30 years before the clone wars, reminds me of a good rdr2 quote "its been a long time since weve helped anyone except ourselves" the jedi just accepted the fact that slavery existed in the outter rim along w the hutts, black sun, pike syndicate, pirates, etc, all bc the republic cldnt reach that far. Excuse me?? They had 10, 000 jedi they coulda sent 150 to each major planet and slowly freed all the slaves and killed the masters until their was no one left to free, and still had a fuck ton back on coruscant to wait on the chancellor hand and foot, the smlunt of times you see the senate or chancellor or special hearing, or any of that political BS should have been a wake up call for anyone within the order, it often times was they j used it to to join the darkside as opposed to j leaving and trying to rebuild what the jedi used to be

The main problem the Jedi had was the lack of compassion to the their own as they are stripped from their mothers at infancy and never allowed to love another. These rules are the main reason the Jedi fell as all they had to do was go back to the outer rim and get Anakins mother out of slavery so that she could live on the new planet anakin. No, they left her a slave and when she died anakins tipping point happened. All they had to do was bring his momma to safety, make him a master, and allow relationships of the Jedi commonplace and no bad things would’ve happened.

As I understood it growing up back in the day watching all these movies and reading quite a bit of the extended universe... Yoda went into hiding because he, along with other Jedi like Obi-Wan were being hunted by Darth Vader. I guess this retcon makes sense after watching the Prequels, though, which premiered when I was well into early adulthood.
