Mace pretty much ran the day to day more or less any way, plus he legit defeated palpatine he definitely would have been a powerful Grand master. Mace is one of my favorite characters him and Obi Wan and Yoda as well, Mace not only had Vaapad and mastered it but had an extremely rare and OP force ability in Shatterpoint, I remember in the clone wars series theirs this scene were all these droids surrounded him like thousands of them and with the force alone he destroyed everyone of them in one big force blast it was awesome like the dude was so powerful in force it makes sense he defeated palpatine essentially *edit* also he absolutely wrecked grievous crushed his lungs with the force ya Mace was a beast

I completely agree. Mace was enamored with the Republic. He protected people through it. It wasn't Windu's fault he didn't kill Dooku. Yoda and Windu were completely equal in the Jedi Council. I think Windu deserved to be Grandmaster. I understand why he remained on the battle. To protect the people and the Republic. May the Force be with you too😊

What many people don't realize is that mace windu also had a secret attachment and a secret love. And that secret love was to the republic. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.

Why not Mace Windu? Is second only to Yoda, his right hand man. And also. Master of the Order, which again is second only to Yoda. Grandmaster.

Yoda actually wanted Dooku on the council to eventually become grandmaster but Dooku declined many times so Yoda eventually settled for Mace in The Legends version unlike in Canon because in Legends Dooku had the same m count as Yoda while Mace was moderately below them but still higher then extremely high force sensitives like Yaddle And Plo Koon so he still had a high enough count to think that he was possibly the chosen one as well as others thinking it just as Dooku, Yoda, And Anakin did while Yaddle And Plo nor anyone else in the order had that kind of force potential yeah.

This now makes more sense. If you rewatch the phantom menace if you see Maces reaction that the chosen one was the boy he seemed shocked and annoyed

In the Expanded Universe, Yoda was the Grandmaster. Yet in The Phantom Menace, Mace Windu was the Grandmaster. It was NOT Yoda that decided that Anakin could not be trained. That decision was made by Mace Windu. Windu was Grandmaster, Yoda was NOT.

Thinking about it logically since yoda was older it would make more sense as grandmaster to stay and protect the temple and mace being younger should of been out on kashyyyk

How did Mace view the shatter point when confronting Dooku and holding his lightsaber to Jango? Mace would've seen how Anakin was performing in the Clone wars - did he feel he needed to keep a closer eye on Anakin? Did he suspect he was enjoying the combat, too much for a Jedi? Did Mace sense Anakin slaying the tuskens?

I feel like anakin should have had training with multiple masters since the beginning, not only is anakin the chosen one but he also joined the order much later than others. I feel as tho Mace and kenobi should’ve shared him as an apprentice. Mace could have played the father figure anakin never had, prior to anakin many believed mace was the chosen one and he also knew his family like anakin did. While kenobi should’ve always been more of Anakins friend than playing fake parent.
