I’ve played all the games on this list except for Sandrock; I played My Time at Portia on Switch and was turned off by their crafting system so I don’t have a draw to Sandrock. Fields of Mistria is my favorite, even though it’s the newest.

Love My time at sandrock but I wouldn’t call it a farming game.
Farming is really not a large part of the game.
Still highly recommended it

So many farming games, not nearly enough that do something interesting with the basic mechanics.

It's still "talk to everyone daily and throw their favourite gift at them" for the most part
And "just water your crops daily I guess"

Instead everything throws in combat, mining, etc etc. I don't even want combat in my cozy farming sim.

Sakuna had cool detailed farming that felt kinda like you had to get a handle on instead of just having very hard defined "this is watered". But sadly it also was very combat focused outside of that.

Coral Island is a great game. I particularly like the graphics. MUCH better than pixel art. And since I was living on the Florida Gulf Coast during the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster, the game resonates even more with me.

I looked into Sun Haven, and well… not a fan of how female romance options are drawn. Clearly for the male hentai fans, it’s really uncomfortable to look at even if I primarily romance women
