Should You Polish Your Ceramic Coating? | Polishing and Adding to Your Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coatings, including Adam's Graphene Ceramic Coating™ and coatings from other manufacturers, make your car care easier. A coated vehicle is easier to clean, resists scratches, and locks in your shine. However, ceramic coatings are not bulletproof. Your coating will last years, but that doesn't mean it will look perfect that whole time. You will accumulate water spots and fine scratches in your ceramic coating over time.

Ceramic coatings also make polishing easier, which means a simple one-step polishing process can remove any water spots and fine scratches on your surface easily. A lighter one-step polish won't completely remove your coating, but it's still a good idea to add another layer of ceramic protection after restoring your perfect finish.

If the coating last around 7 years why do you need to reapply it every year????

Wouldn't a blue foam pad and a one step almost entirely remove the coating?

I think you all over over thinking this. What this video shows is that just because you car is coated, its not protected from bad washing habits. If can still get swirl marks and scratches. If that happens, this is what you need to do to reapply. Obviously if you follow a safe wash regiment, you will be fine and wont need to reapply. Only thing you need is perhaps boost the hydrophobic properties with a proper wash shampoo or booster, like the Graphene DS or CS3

I used your Advanced Graphine Ceramic 60 ml bottle on my daughters boat. Boat only a few years old and taken care of to perfection. My son in law keeps his vehicles and boat and other toys perfect. Why have you not done any sort of marine videos? I am gonna try to post pictures. Not sure if I can in this. Amazing results. They get compliments about there boat all the time. They also tow it with a Cadillac Escalade that had been given the full paint correction and same coating. Both boat and truck are so easy to maintain. We live in Lake Havasu City AZ and on the lake all summer. The water here has so much calcium. It wipes down so easy with coatings the coatings on.

I use Carpro Essence Plus which jewels the surface of the Adams Graphene ceramic coating without removing it. It removes scratches as well as any high spots I may have missed. I then put on a spray on topper to further enhance gloss and slickness. If Adams had a similar product with ceramic/graphene similar to Carpro Essence Plus that would be awesome!

As the other comments say, why reapply every year? I have the original 9H, non graphine coating on my Camaro and it still has a lot of hydrophobic properties and the only place where I can see marring is the front bumper.
I applied it about 3 or 4 year ago. Why would I need to reapply yearly? Are we washing with sandpaper or steel wool?

I am with most of the other people commenting, Why would you claim this is a 7 year coating, if you need to polish your car every two or three years? My guess is they found out that there is no way this coating is going to last 7 years and thus had to create this scenario to "Maintain" your coating.

Is it ok to apply a different brand of ceramic coating that I had before polishing?

does the coating ruin the applicator or the towels use to apply/wipe? in another words, can I apply one panel one day, come back following week and use same applicator/towel to do another panel? will ceramic coating dry out and scratch new panel?

This video was awesome! And the timing is good because I am doing the same thing. Question, I did get my silver label unven on my PPF and didnt realize it. Should I just leave that wear down naturally so I dont damage the PPF?

Is there any benefit to applying the graphene liquid wax over the advanced coating? Asking for a friend.

i have a car with a really marred coating/paint and 4 year old gtech serum ultra. The car has just been used a lot. Im pretty sure the ceramic coating is still reasonably active as when you clean it with some iron remover and claybar it does somewhat come back to live. I suppose with the marring/small scratches it would be better to polish the whole thing "off" and then recoat as the polishing/compounding will take the residual serum ultra off?

I just bought a bottle of the advanced graphene ceramic coating 🔥. I'm going to use it as a top coat for the original coating on my Tesla model y

Have you done a video on how to polish a car if you don't have a polishing tool? Or should someone not try that if they don't have the polishing tool?

Can this same process be done on glass that has been ceramic coated?

To anyone thinking about polishing their ceramic coat, you simply cannot polish a coating without deteriorating it's life rather significantly

But a coating will come off almost entirely in the section you go over.

You can clean/renew a coating with a jeweling agent with minimal to no abrasives

Can you put PPF over a ceramic coating? Or should you Polish, PPF, and then Ceramic coat?
