This is an Arch Linux Installation that is updated, to be honest I did this real fast, didn't necessarily explain much, just went ahead and did it. Didn't tweak or customize anything. Which is why the whole procedure is one video and like 30 minutes, i leave the customization and options to you.

Thanks for video. :) I actually liked this one better. Because you just show the process, and we can have it as a guideline, and if we need to change something we just pause the video and done. :) I also like it because you do get to this level of speed when you've done it several times. ;)

Great tutorial!
I will be doing an Arch Linux (2013.09.01) one soon.
Anyway, did you know that there is an Openbox derivative of Arch Linux called ArchBang Linux?
You should try it out.

Of course if you're hearing white noise, that could be my A/C which I neglected to turn off in this video.

the easiest way would be to install a displaymanager (i.e. gdm, kdm, lxdm, slim, lightdm, etc.) then to enable it at bootup it would be $ sudo systemctl enable gdm.service (if it was gdm) I forgot to really go into that on this video, but systemd starts services on boot...I'll link above to arch wiki on it.

I'm assuming you mean the one on my gentoo desktop, linked above in video description.

yeah, i live in gentoo now, been running it as my main OS for about 6 months, i am normally NOT in GNOME 2 I just happened to be in here when i decided to do this, I usually run awesome or i3 nowadays mostly.

Nice Video Rob, since I see your using Gentoo would you make a gentoo installation video for us, and one more thing I wanna have my arch setup automatically start in runlevel5 but new (not to arch) to systemd, do you mind shining some light and possibly a vid for both
