I love the joke, but I used to have a friend who tried commission painting and had this same attitude. She was one of the reasons why I hadn’t gotten into commission painting for a good while

I doubt it is true. A) unless a payment was discussed b4 you began painting, you cannot charge him, (attempting to is fraud and extortion)B) requiring someone to pay for a commissioned piece (who already gave you the color options he wanted and you didn't follow) and not providing the color scheme the buyer wanted constitutes fraud. C) refusing to return the piece is theft. D) if delivered through the US mail, mail fraud and conspiracy charges can apply.

My assessment is the narration is nothing more than rage bait.
