At the heart of Western society lies a foundation in the scientific method... the belief that an objective and testable reality exists. But it's no secret that some of the greatest minds in scientific history also acknowledged a debt of gratitude to spiritual philosophies...

From Einstein claiming Spinoza's Pantheism was in line with his idea of God, to Newton translating the Emerald Tablet of Hermes... spirituality and science have more in common than any two fields in history, we just need to think with a little perspective!

Scientists are people who value objectivity. They're the same as spiritual people as far as searching for meaning, they just do it in a different way according to theyre preferred method of finding truth. Spiritual people give value to a more hermeneutic interpretation of the truth, a way that has obvious pitfalls that the objectivists think they're safe from.

Both are aiming at discipline through their own special set of cultural filters.
