the drugs and alcohol that took elizabeths life were the exact things the macho man was tryin to protect her from.he was not overprotective as some have said.she was his wife and he knew how dangerous the wrestling world could be for a lady like her.he was doing his job as a husband.perhaps if the marriage had worked out and she stayed with randy perhaps she would be alive today.sadly all we fans can do is wonder.

Amazing how so many wrestlers from the 80s/90s get so unwell/die by their 40s onwards. All the drugs they took(steroids and recreational) had a terrible effect on their bodies. Its mad coz back then you thought of them as the pinnacle of health but in reality they were the opposite. Pumping their bodies full of steroids to look good/strong with no thought of what it did to them long term.. Plus they were taking loads of other drugs to get high. Shame to see so many of them die so young. WWE didnt/doesnt care about its wrestlers.

Elizabeth is not here to tell her story. When asked if she would ever write a book, she answered, no. She knew about rumors. And she knew how difficult a wrestler's life (and their families lives) could be. Writing a book would seem like some sort of betrayal of a confidence or a reveal of an partial truth that is easily misinterpreted. So, here we are, twenty years after her death. She's gone, but the concerns she had seem to be living on.
