It hurts to get it straight when you have a meniscus tear right on that corner. On top of it, your muscles lock in and get very tense when you try to straighten it. That’s why physical therapy is important before and after surgery and not only after as some insurance companies claim.

STRETCHES !!! after acl DO WORKOUTS AND STRETCHES they taught you in physical therapy don’t stop doing your daily exercises even after physical therapy or your knee most likely will start hurting again

don't worry about bending completely, in my personal experience sleeping with no brace you aromatically bend your knee in sleep and u will eventually reach full bend... i didn't do bending exercise and now my heal can almost touch my butt ( 2.5 month now) but my extension still stuck at 0° that's too in the last 2 week i achieved 0°... so hyper extension is super important

Idk bout anyone else but i had surgery not too long ago and they give you a brace to straighten your leg, so hopefully this shouldn’t be a problem for people 👍

You didint mention why its important. ACL graft is most likely to tear after 2 years if you dont have full extension. I had my surgery 3 days ago and I already almost have the hyper extension. First week is a hell but this small step is so important that made me supper happy.

Is it normal for some days to be better than others? I can sometimes get -3 degrees and soemtimes I can barely get straight. My non surgical leg is -5 degrees.

I’m had a type 3 tibial plateau fracture and torn meniscus, surgery 2 and a half weeks ago. Extension looks good but can’t get my bend to 90 yet. Starting PT this week

My ACL surgery was done two weeks ago and I'm still not impressed. I always feel that it is not a successful surgery.. Now I have a knee guard, but when I move my leg, it still feels the same as before the surgery. leg bones still feel wobbly, so I'm still afraid of physical therapy. After the ACL injury, I suffered from it for a long time. When moving the leg, running, jumping up, the leg got stuck in one place. It was very painful. Unlocking the leg again was very painful for me. This happened several times. So I am very afraid of this..

Is this a false idea in my mind? If not, I want to know if I should retest this. Thank you 😔
