great video...I've bought refurbished balls from a very good dealer and they actually worked great ( Callaway chrome soft, Vice Pro Soft, Srixon Q-Star Tour, Titleist AVX and Pro V1 ) but i must say i did notice a slight difference when i tried brand new balls of the same brands....so your spot on Mark....great call....cheers from Canada

I buy used golf balls without marks (near mint). They have markings but nothing to change performance. I find they work great.

Interesting Mark, but expected you to hit and compare range, refurb, scuffed etc against a new ball on the Sim and show us how different they really are. Is it really worth changing a slightly scuffed ball for a shiny £5 one for a Saturday morning knock around with your mates. Cheers

I stockup when there are runouts on premium balls just after a new release. Seems to be bugger all difference between models and savings can be considerable - esp for TM (TP5/x) and Srixon (Z/x Star) balls.

A new golf ball is only new until you hit it.

I lost a sleeve of new Srixon Q stars from errant bounces off super dry fairways last week. Pulled out an old scuffed up Z star that I found buried in winter mud.. not only did it finish the round.. we also won the Comp 😂😂 sods law a new ball gets lost 80% of the time. I still buy them though 🤦😂

I was buying refurbished pro v1 and they are definitely not the same. Look good but massive difference. I've played the Vice Pro Plus recently and those are pretty good and save a few bucks

I buy sleeves at the course to try different balls. I’m still looking for one that meets my game requirements. Right now the Triad and Pro V1 (found) are my gamers. I may try the Diawing ( I sprung for a dozen) ball today. Scuff balls, I will put “White Out” (typing correct liquid) on the scuff lol!

Havent brought a Pro V for ages, found heaps in bushes and rough, always near new.
Titleist pro v the most lost ball in golf.

Z Star is a good ball that consistently splits on the seam. Haven’t seen another ball do this.

I’m trying the zstar next round out . Father’s Day gift, two dozen 👍 hopefully I can compress them enough, I’m use to the taylormade tour response 😎

The same with new clubs.once you hit them, they are used just like driving a new car off the dealers lot, used.I don’t think a 10+ and up handicapper would notice any variable in any scuffed, water, etc. golf ball.

Mate!! I haven't bought a golf ball for five years. I assume this video is aimed at +10 golfers looking for marginal gains. It doesn't apply above 80 though. There's bigger wins to be had with tuition and practise.

When I was a kid they cost 10 shillings. These days I occasionally hit an errant drive and the fifth ball I find is mine and mines is the 4th minty of the five. If I have a bias preferred ball it would be against Srixon, as they're (by far) the ones I find most often.

Do I think I would *quickly* improve/develop my game hitting a consistent ball, versus hitting 100 varietals on the practise ground - solid nope

Tried refurb. Noticed variation in ball to ball. I get my balls hand picked from golf courses and sold in charity shops . Played prov1 s all summer . Never paid more than 50p each

My plan is to start buying new balls once my handicap is reasonable. Until then is refurbished

Very disappointed with Srixon Z star this year. Had this strange clear film rip off the cover of multiple balls.

Mygolfspy did a great piece of refurbished golf balls. Very disturbing evidence as to how poor they are despite the rating system they use. Garbage

I buy mint lake balls from ReUse golf balls and think they're brilliant. £10 cheaper and I personally haven't noticed any difference.
