Ethanol free gas at home - how to make it

Показать описание
If you have a carbureted engine (older vehicle or just about all lawn mowers, edgers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, go karts, golf carts, snow blowers, or other small engines) then chances are it needs to run on ethanol free gasoline for the best results. But ethanol free gasoline is not always available locally and when it is, it is usually very expensive. I show you how you can easily make your own at home without any fancy tools.

very nice tutorial! similar process/method used in lab with a separatory funnel. If you can spend $20-30 for a large separatory funnel and lab stand, it’ll make the process extremely easy and thorough.

Yo Gary,

I'm dead at the intro.
When your boys get to high school, you can encourage behavior modification if needed by threatening to send your YouTube videos to their classmates. lol

I've been getting by with E10 in my lawn mower, (my nearest 100% Pure Gasoline is 30 miles away).
It's a 15 year old MTD with a Honda GVC160 engine.
It's all original, just routine maintenance.
Haven't had any Carb problems yet.

I don't know if this helps, but when I shut it down after mowing, I turn the quarter turn fuel valve off just before the carburetor, and let it "run out of gas".
The next week I turn the valve on, apply the spring load choke, and it fires on the first pull.

You're not "making" gasoline. You are "purifying" gasoline.

you could put three or so holes in the cap and just turn it upside down and food coloring helps to show the water/ ethanol. Another good container to use is a laundry detergent bottle that has a valve on it.

Great video. Just a thought on the topic I’ve seen another video on this process where you freeze the bottle. The water and ethanol mixture stays frozen on the bottom of the jug and you can pour our the pure gas very easily. Try it out. If you do let me know. I think I’m gonna try it.

washer solvent jug, drill a hole i, under size for line, n cap, put an 1/8" vacuum line or small engine fuel line, clamp the end of line. mix your water and gas, shake it then turn it upside down, water and ethanol will settle to the botton, unclamp line and drain the crap away

Take a 1 gallon glass jug. Buy a #6 stopper (with a hole, or just drill it out) that fits the jug. Add a tube to the stopper with a shut off valve.

Mix you gas and water. Turn the jug upside down. Open the the shut off valve and slowly let the water/ethanol drain out.

Hill Billy Joe's always got his copper line and glass jugs.

This is great. I would like to add another option. Use Royal Purple Max clean if you have to use ethanol gas. It works incredibly well.

I think dumping the water and ethanol out was the easiest way to separate it. A lot easier than siphoning, like the last video I saw.

I used a thumb tack. Poked a hole in the bottome of the jug. Drained the water and alcohol out, the replaced the tack, before poring the gas into the can.

That intro, instant like and subscribe LMAO.

I designed a gas can to separate the 2 and make ethanol free gas on tap. No effort and cheap as dirt. Just never followed thru with patent. That was years ago. I could probably make millions.

do this with shell nitro v power. its 93 octane, and only 5% ethanol. yeah octanes gonna drop but not that much with the nitro v power since most of its octane boost isn't coming from the ethanol.
