10. Creating and managing deployment images using MDT (Step by Step guide)

In this video series I am going to be installing and configuring the new Windows Server 2016. In the tenth video from the series I am going to show you how you can deploy and capture reference image using Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). You can customize this reference image according to your company policies and then deploy to both servers and desktops.

Perfect video Nick! Explains everything so easily. After reading multiple TechNet and random other forum posts on MDT setup I was pulling my hair out on how to get it working. More than half didn't even mention to update deployment share, and my sysprep+capture sequence errors didn't give me anything useful as to what was wrong before doing this. Works perfectly now and currently capturing my Windows7 reference VM ;)

After MDT has been configured, when Windows 10 boots from the network, should DHCP be configured to obtain an IP? It will be easier to understand if the matter is explained a little. Thanks for your very educational videos.

Hi NLB, thanks for sharing part 10 and part 11 video of MDT/WDS. This might be a stupid question since I'm new to this but can I install a windows server 2019 on a workstation and then deploy machines over the network from that workstation? or do I need an actual server set-up?
