How to deploy Windows 11 22H2 (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows Deployment Services)

Learn how to deploy Windows 11 22H2 over the network using both the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Windows Deployment Service (WDS). In this example, I go over the process of installing both Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), configuring MDT using the Deployment Workbench, by adding operating systems, applications, and creating a task sequence to install Windows 11. I also showed how to configure the deployment share rules to reduce the number of steps in the deployment process, how to generate a MDT boot wim, and how to import that boot wim into WDS.

Recommendations for people having login issues at the MDT Windows installation screen: Check DNS (this was my issue) and make sure you or the AD accounts you use have proper access to the deployment share folder.

A question I have is, can I install Windows 10 with the Windows 11 ADK? Or does every OS need it's own specific ADK?

Danny im running into an issue with 23H2 where the account post install is logged in but the installer just hangs.
I can go to the DPShare and start the setupcompletre manually and it tells me a previous installation is found and if i want to start a new one. I can select no and it will finish the current deployment with 0 errors.

Logs also don't indicate into any errors.
Doyou know what could be the cause?

Danny - great video!! I am actually following it to utilize within our organization. One question I have is, how do I handle two different boot images? We currently use windows 10 and windows 11. I have the custom wim files created using sysprep.

Do i need two different boot images? One for 10 and one for 11?
