All of you putting down this rating, these people are in one of the most valuable rates on a ship. Supply is all about morale and being an IT, I have gotten free stuff and my laundry washed and uniforms pressed for letting some supply personnel call home without having to use a phone card. You will be surprised how bad the morale is when there are no cigarettes or dip in the ship store or if the vending machines don’t work. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

Much love to the Ship's Servicemen (as I remember them) - the tiny ships store and one-chair barber shop on frigates, and then the incredibly larger facilities when I later went to the USS Kitty Hawk. We didn't have a "coffee shop" back in the day, but still made sure to get the SH kids a ride in the helicopter while at sea.
