Old timer here, you guys were accurate. All of the RP's I ever saw were usually reading email, sleeping or handing out candy...

Very cool video and good info for non-vets. RP sounds like the best of the 5 because you don't have to deal with body fluids, you can get your "Gung Ho" on if you like, and it's laid back enough not to burn you out physically.
Anything in admin is good because you have access to info that others don't, the downside is the potential boredom.
Nice dog!

Blue side corpsman is kind of skate... I work 12 hours days in labor and delivery. It can be slow, but our carrier just came back so baby season has just begun for us.

Med Lab Tech Corpsman here. Initial schooling is hard and afterward you will be coasting. Definitely can confirm that we take up bluejacketeer and advancement often in the hospital cause of the amount of downtime we have. But then again some people reuse that downtime to get through college at the same time.

I like how 3 of the 5 rates I’ve been coming considering are on this. RP MC and LS. On the flip side, AW and AIRRs.

Maybe you have but I'd love to hear you talk about Master at Arms.

There has been such a change in Rating since I was in the Navy during the 1970s. None of the Rates you talked about were around in my days.

I was a Damage Controlman on board USS Nimitz CVN 68, loved it. BTW, your tat on your chest is my Screen Name. Brilliant

I was an LS, guys it's not all easy peazy. I was on the Reagan (CVN-76) Yes we ran the shops and passed the repair parts throughout the other departments. But my department (S8) dealt with the arrival of office supplies, bathroom cleaners/paper, copy paper (TONS of it), When those supplies arrived from replenishment, ALL those boxes needed to come down to the storerooms. That required large working parties to take them down, sometimes 5 - 9 decks down from the hangar bay. LS is actually a lot of manual labor too.
