Twisted German Cast On

This is my absolute favorite cast on! I use it for everything from hats to brioche :) It gives a nice flexible edge, and after you practice it a few times, it becomes just as rhythmic as your regular long tail cast on!

This is the best video for the twisted German cast on - I've used it over and over. You sound so patient! Thank you!!

This video is by far the clearest explanation I can find - and the thumb trick makes it doable for me. So very happy I saved this video last year because I needed it again

I came to watch and learn (and practise) ready for the spring 2024 hat KAL. Thanks for this clear and helpful tutorial. I am now ready to go - or will be when my yarn arrives!

Thanks Andrea! Yours is the clearest tutorial that I have seen. It seems like your last step simplifies what some do as two steps by going through the little window.😉💕

Omfg!! The thumb trick is what I was missing. I had tried following other slow-motion tutorials and just couldn't get it, but the thumb trick works for me. Thank you!!

Thank you! I watched a different video first where she untwisted the thumb before pulling through and I absolutely couldn't follow what she was doing. You explained this so well and I really appreciated the alternative method being shown too. Perfect tutorial!
