All-new 2015 Acura TLX FWD V6 0 to 60 then on to over 100 mph. Also a 60-80 mph run. Had it in manual mode but car up-shifted automatically still.

0-60 in 5.4 seconds, and yes it really sounds like this in sport + mode. In Econ mode at 55-60mph you can average 38 mpg on the open highway. I love this car and I'm cautious before I give praise like that.2015 TLX V6 PAWS

Very nice! After being criticized for having too few gears in the past, Acura comes back and leapfrogs the competition with 9.  Seems like the top few gears are a little bit tedious for manual shifting though

Just drove this mean kitty this evening, it likes to growl. You could feel the blood rushing away from your brain when launching in S+ mode. Well done Acura

Well it definitely sounds nice, as do pretty much all Honda J-motors

Damn cruising at 80 under 2k rpm! Should allow better than estimated mpg. Nice and quiet as well

The redline is 6, 750rpm, so the i-VTEC can be engaged. This V6 engine is a SOHC (Single Over Head Cam) engine not DOHC (Double Over Head Cam) engine like the 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder engine. Both engines have direct injection, so more torque and horsepower along with better fuel economy. The 8 speed automatic transmission on the 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder model is a dual clutch transmission with a torque converter, and this V6 has the regular 9 speed automatic transmission. Hope it's reliable, since people argue that with new engine technology, it will fail to hold up.

The 9-speed in this model isn't bad, but it isn't that lovely 8-speed torque converted dual clutch that the 4-cylinder model had. That transmission was amazing.

This video was the FWD model.  The SH-AWD takes off a bit quicker because of the better traction pulling from all 4 wheels with most of the power coming from the rear.  I drove the SH-AWD version in wet weather and that model takes off almost as if it were on dry pavement.  Awesome handling!!!

I can tell this guy sells car that's how he's able to get his hands on all these. I hope the owner of the dealership doesn't see this haha.

its fast and it sounds glorious for a stock V6. Im sure the magazines like Car and Driver have more accurate equipment and techniques to measure their times by...

I like seeing the test but cringe when I see the mileage. So much for the 600 mile break in period.

Fun to watch, but ouch ... the poor car has 50 miles on it.  Will be faster after it's (properly) broken in.

Wish 4th-7th gear was shorter on these cars. It would have made it a great track car

i clocked it twice exactly at 6.1 secs with a stopwatch from this video 0-60....for all the other guys that are bashing this video saying their tlx does 0-60 in low to mid 5's.... you guys are stupid, because its clearly 80 degrees- which is hot...if he was doing this in 50-60 degree temperature, than yes this driver would break into the mid to high considering humidity as well, for every 10 degrees above 70 degrees (normal temperature), the car loses about 10 horsepower..at 90 degrees he will be in deficit of 16-20 hp compared to 70 degrees temperature..
..iknow that from firsthand experience, which i've tested my car in 90, 80, 70, 60, 50 degrees....and theres a significant difference in timings just going from 80 degrees to 60 degrees.. you can actually feel it...
there's a thing called heatsoak of the engine. HELLO...

Little bit of skidding at the launch, sh-awd would shave off a few fractions of a sec from that. If floored in auto, does it shift at redline, or earlier (to maximize torque)?

you should make a side by side vid with the SHO
