2015 Acura TLX 3.5L SH-AWD - WR TV POV Test Drive

You can almost feel the AWD working, specially from a standing start, no lost traction at all. It seems like the different modes (Comfort, Sport, Normal...) work quite smoothly as well. Also impressive how it can cruise at almost 80MPH at under 2000rpm, great mile-eater. And although I'm not a big fan of assists that kind of "drive for you" I must admit that it's stunning to see it work. Great Test Drive, well rounded and complete, as always!

I have to say as an owner of a TLX V6 SHAWD, it has to be one of the best handling cars i have ever driven.  Its a blast to open up, and i have so much confidence at high speeds.

I love this older TLX~~ Interior may not be the most interesting, but I actually quite like those dual screens and this overall interior.

Can you do a POV test drive of the 2.4L TLX with the 8 speed dual clutch transmission please?

This might not be the sharpest sport sedan money can buy, but it is nearly $10k cheaper than the Germans & $5k cheaper vs. a Lexus IS350 or a Cadillac ATS 3.6.

The thing that really blows my mind is the gearbox. the gear spread in question; 75mph and the tach barely registers 1500rpm. Yes the 9spd ZF has teething issues with rough shifts but man does it gear high. The fact this 3.5 V6 with AWD can still achieve mid-30 MPG on the highway is a testament to its effectiveness.

Some driver input would sure make this roadtest more informative. Im thinking of upgrading soon to a TLX.

This is now an real Acura car. Gone is the accord motor and in is the ultra powerful 3.5 with Vtec. Understand that no one has anything other than twin turbo setup that is as effective at making power and "useful power" which is midrange torque that aids in gear change torque when you shift into the next gear. This thing pulls very hard

I really liked the rear look of Acura TL 2010, too bad they don't use this design anymore... It was different... Now TLX looks like just as others and that's sad
