Promised never land season 2 was a big let down lmao

Higurashi is partially based on a real place and a real event. Unlike the show, the dam project was finished successfully and it flooded a town, which destroyed the economy of nearby villages that had their property value drop overnight to nil and they received no compensation as their property was not directly affected by the construction...
The village itself is also based on a real-life location. Moreover, this anime criticizes the way mental health was treated in Japan and probably also parenting in general... Lastly, despite being a horror show, it's very much a coming-of-age story. In the first few seasons, you learn that people keep secrets and that dangers are everywhere, just that we usually keep them hidden from kids, just like other things we adults worry about... Later, it's about letting go. By that I mean when you graduate and move away and maybe never see your friends again and move to a completely different spot...

What I really like about the show is that despite of the gore, it can play psychological horror really well and highly unusually for the genre, the characters are pretty complex, and not just those of the main cast, but many characters they interact with have backstories, hidden agendas, etc.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Higurashi as a horror show and Shadow House (more slice of life) and Miroku-chan (more comedy, but clearly horror). The Promised Neverland was great, but the second season was a letdown. Yami Shibai gets old real fast, but you might still want to check it out... Uzumaki is sometimes truly terrifying, sometimes just WTF. It's at times also quite gross and definitely not to everyone's taste.

I loved promise of never land but what got me tight was Emma was tryna save everyone and they mother at the end they all made up like what was the whole point of escaping or doing all that or dying if they was just gonna switch up like that 😂😂😂

After watching this video I went and watched Housing Complex C. It's really good, and it's really short too. For anyone who watches it, I would recommend never pausing or rewinding it, If something catches your eye... it's probably just an optical illusion :)
