Unreal Engine: Understanding Maps, Levels, and Sublevels using the Levels Tab.

Here's a full explanation of maps, levels, and sublevels so you can decide how you would like to organize your projects.

I also left in some unexpected level saving/missing content fishy business, so you can also see what I did to (try and) fix it, as that's always good to see as well...

Thanks for leaving in the errors the program gave you. Sometimes Things Happen while follows steps in a video and tutorials do not show how to solve them. This was incredibly informative, thank you.

Oh man, loved that you kept the mistake in! That is so important when teaching because that is exactly what happens when you're learning! Subscribed just for that!

This is a great video, and thank you for keeping the errors! It's good for us to see that this kind of stuff happens once in a while with anyone 😂

You saved me! I started with levels recently but couldn't get them all to show and struggled with black viewports when a built level should have shown. Now everything is working =D

Tuned in to see how Sublevels are used for other things beyond Level Streaming and delighted things went wrong. That is when the good stuff is learned..

hey JC that was really useful... it would be even greater if you do another one w the same but w a better functionality demonstration 'how would different people work on the same but w different levels'. I've learn and done a new level made of 2 big maps bringing assets to-from one map to another main - so, thanks ! cheers from Rio

Hi GREAT and fun REAL tutorial! Thank you so much. WHY would they call the dark mannequin LIT and the one WITH light UNLIT? I guess that why she is SOLO (alone) because no one can find her like that. Where would I go to find your real beginner tutorials?

Hey on that disappearing thing I've had it happen to me in recently in UE5 as well.. I managed to find the file I was looking for by searching the name in the finder, not sure if that helps in UE4 but hey give it a try, great vid!!

Use of Levels requires that all Maps/Levels are in the same folder - so for sanity - create a "Top Level" "Maps" folder for all your maps that are participating in Level streaming maps usage

Hello and thank you, I am looking for load/unload based on camera view, is that possible? I mean only load objects are in camera view, if camera for example rotates to other angle, load some objects are in that shot and unload others not in camera view shot. I think that's gonna do super optimization, I need for VR headset. Something Like Ray Cast Thank you.
