The small hole is entry point then it possibly tumbled, mushroom or something of that nature creating large exit holes. That’s how it works not exiting the small hole that would be impossible so do some research on bullets entering the body and of that nature. Hollow point bullets can explode on impact for instance that’s what looks like. You will see what I mean and thank me.

Hard to believe these bones belonged to young men who were once living, breathing human beings, beings who loved and laughed, who loved and were loved…

One morning that man woke up and put his boots on and marched off into his destiny never imaging that one day someone would be gluing his head together while others watched. Fascinating work you do, I've been a subscriber for some time now.

I have several photographs of my father - one taken with his school friends on the eve of being called up and one taken maybe two years later - after two years in Ukraine and Russia. The difference is marked - he appears aged by ten years. He avoided, by sheer chance, the fate these guys suffered. But his experiences and wounds led him to die comparitively early for a strong, fit man at sixty-three. War never leaves you intact.

Actually the big hole is the exit hole, the small is an entry

I don't care whose side they were defending, it's just heartbreaking to see where they lay, many alone. God bless each of these young men. Thank you for helping identify them and getting them home after all these years.

Artillery causes a majority of battle casualties. That is why it's called the King of Battle.

I have a field post WWII Letter from my uncle (Eastern Front) to his brother on the Western Front in which he wrote: Yesterday I almost got cold feet because a 10 mm grenade hit nearby. By cold feet he meant that he almost died from the grenade splinters.
