How to facilitate a daily standup meeting.

Daily standup is one of the scrum ceremonies/Events, it happens everyday of the week once the sprint has started and this meeting last for 15 minutes. The entire scrum team comes together to see how the work that they committed to do for the sprint is going and to identify if there are any impediments and find solutions on how to resolve in order for the work to keep moving forward.

Minor tweak. Given the ScrumMaster is a “servant leader” you are not actually obliged to be the organiser of the standup. You just need to make sure it happens, the team understands why & how, and you help keep the team accountable to itself.

A good rule of thumb is that the Scrum Master is not a Scrum Manager or Administrator… you are a Scrum facilitator - servant leader, coach & mentor who empowers the team to be self organising.

Hi Nicole, do you officially end your Stand Up at the 15min time box and move other discussions to Parking Lot or you just continue and just dive in to other discussions after the 15min?
If so will that be that your team already has that understanding of the 30min scheduled time for the Stand Up.
