How to perform SMC reset

How to perform SMC reset on MacBook Pro or Air
1.Make sure computer is plugged in ,make sure battery is NOT fully charged
2.Turn it off if it’s on
3.Press and Hold Left shift key Left Control key left Option key plus Power button for 7 seconds
Let go of all the keys the charging indicator on your charger should blink green then back to orange .

The steps fixed my problem only for a limited time and I experienced the weird sound and the 🚫 sign on my volume. My volume works fine when using external speakers or earphones through Bluetooth but just not the MacBook speakers. I was wondering how I could fix this issue so I don’t encounter it again.
