My maxed out MacBook Pro 2015 15 inch was having the fans at full blast when I only had 2 tabs of chrome open. After doing this it’s just warm but not turning the fans on at maximum load. You can hear the fans if you listen carefully which is what it’s supposed to do. It was driving me crazy because I recently replaced the thermal paste and cleaned out completely. Almost bought a new computer. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video! My macbook pro (2017) wasn't charging at all, so it ended up dying (not even the dead battery sign was showing)... so I took it to an apple store in Cádiz (K-Tuin) and they said it could be an issue with the charging port...the piece replacement would cost over 650€ (insane) and maybe the keyboard had to be replace too... so as you may know I wasn't up to paying THAT amount of money and took my issue to google, when this video raise up like the lifesaver it is and I fixed my mac (I'm actually writing this review from it)...You're awesome, thank you for sharing your knowledge and I'm saving this for future reference of course.

I hadn't used this reset in several years so I had forgotten which buttons to push, thanks. My right fan was running really slow at about 241rpm, simple restart didn't help but this fixed the issue.

Hi!!! I just came across this video and I just wanted to say thank you much because this helped me resolve a problem that my mac's been having for the LONGEST time. I'll be leaving my experience here just incase anybody else needs it or are experiencing the same problem!!!

I have a Macbook Air 2017 model and my USB ports on both side have not been working for like.... 2 years now? and I got these new headsets I wanted to try out and I was trying to plug it in n connect it w my laptop through the USB cable - but it didn't work. The headsets could work wireless too but the sound quality was HORRIBLE when connected through Bluetooth with my laptop so I was worried that it was a problem w my USB ports (since my headsets are literally new). I tried the SMC reboot and IMMEDIATELY, my USB ports got fixed and now everything works. I cannot express how HAPPY I am right now!!! So yeah! Thank you!!! and YES this works 100% it saved me money and time from visiting the Apple Store.

Hey would this fix the issue, of my mac : it boots up fine but then when i log into my account the mac resets. It then comes up with no battery even though it does have battery.

The right shift left option, 7 seconds, then power button release, worked for my MacBook Air...
