Okay, so, 2 years ago I was GIFTED a Budgie, without my knowledge. I did do a ton of research after I got him through, and he is VERY spoiled and loved in this house. I did however get let in on a bit of information that would've helped me in getting him to trust me a couple weeks ago. He still doesn't trust anyone and is scared of EVERYTHING sadly. My cousin, who gifted him to me, had him for 6 months beforehand she told me while laughing that she would just manhandle him and make him let her hold him. like, excuse me? I said, "Well that makes sense as to why he's so scared of people." and she just laughed again and walked off. I looked at my mom who was just staring at her walk away in pure disbelief. My grandma came in and we told her what we heard. She had birds her whole life and even had a budgie named Tinkerbell when she was my age. She was so upset. After all that lol Is there any way I can get him to trust me? I would love for him to feel safe and loved when I come around him instead of fear.

Don't force your birds to do anything, no tricks or anything. Just let them be by themselves until they comfortable with thier surroundings and the noises, and they will eventually come to you.
..and please, for the love of Mike, let your birds out of their cages to have a fly around in the house so they can spread their wings and become strong and healthy. They are not ornaments to be looked at in a cage. My birds are out all day flying around. They are happy.
