Good points. Making sure the glove hand is brought to chest or centered is key for accuracy. Glove hand flying out creates a lot of mechanical problems. Also leg following through creates ball speed, but that’s the next steep! Thanks for helping kids!

This helped me. I’m embarrassed to say my kids are older than his and still can’t throw well.

My excuses? I worked midnights and COVID messed things up.

But I started teaching them the other day and they were still having trouble with my explanation.

This seems simple and I think they can figure it out if I explain it like this.

Interesting. When you said elbow up and back your elbow was above the shoulder a bit which I know isn’t that bad for pitching as long as it stays close, but his elbow immediately adjusted to dead even with his shoulder. Even when you had him get the from elbow up his back side elbow adjusted putting the elbows and shoulders on a plain.

My son is 13 and we are breaking some bad habits. I’ve learned a ton these last few years. But one thing I’ve constantly noticed is that kids who throw well at a young age all do the same thing fundamentally.

I learned to throw a long time ago and I point at my target with my glove hand. I will have to relearn so I can teach my kid.

I still have kids who do their elbow and don't care... until I yell at them and then I get the angry parent coming at me. It's stupid how many times I have to explain to parents
