Little League Majors: Pitching Mechanics 101

Pitchers aren't taught the wind-up anymore, like back inna day. Guys used to use more leg & body torque, which was less stress on the arm, and could pitch much longer. It's mind-boggling that pitching coaches aren't aware of this obvious fact....

Front leg collapses bad. Good form but could be throwing alot more zip if he had a better follow through. Also an indicator that he is using way more arm than body. If you dont fix these early on, it will throw them all off and have an early hanging up of the cleats.

This young man is short arming his throws. He needs to have his arm complete the pitch. This young man hand and arm should be around his back pocket once he releases the ball. But everything else looked pretty good.

Locked on target? I usually do a pattern, first, throw it out of the strike zone, second, throw it low, but in the strike zone, third, throw it high but in the strike zone.
