How many throws or how much time do you use per throw type?

Question - I coach 11U A. For teaching pitching basics, I teach that when separating their hands, and they elevate both arms upwards, that they are pointing their elbow towards the catcher. Use it as their scope, rather than point their glove at the catcher. This prevents opening up too early with the glove hand. But then I'm conflicted when I teach basic throwing mechanics, and like here, tell my players to point with their glove. Should I stick to what I'm telling them, or change my approach? Basically every pitching video I see on youtube, they don't point their glove at the catcher, but look over the top of their elbow at the catcher. Tips/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Me as coach shouldn't you teach the kids to catch with two hands when possible when the ball is thrown at the chest
