For the first time since they were launched in 2018, Celebrity Cruises is sending their highly rated Edge class of ships to Alaska! I just so happened to have been on the inaugural sailing aboard the Celebrity Edge, staying in a balcony cabin. So today, let's take a deeper look into this very well liked cruise ship and see if not only if it's a good ship to brave the cold waters of the north Pacific, but also to see if it's worth the money!

The three tortilla chips in one of those daily appetizers says a lot lol

The captain giving a lecture on ship navigation is one of the coolest things I've ever heard of onboard a cruise. That would make me consider a voyage by itself

I would definitely love to see a video on how public space keeps getting cordoned off in favor of exclusive spaces. Like with the upcoming Utopia of the Seas, they removed the public spaces above the bridge wings and turned that into a suite, taking away that genuinely cool area for every other guest on board.

Never getting over the three tortilla chips on that appetizer plate

I have zero intention of ever going on a cruise but I like your videos and I watched this whole thing nodding and shaking my head like I'm somehow going to get up and go on a cruise. Thanks for taking me on this adventure.

18:18 I'm definitely interested to hear more! Seems like our economy's newest frontier is finding ways to group everyone into classes and charge each group as much as possible.

3 tortilla chips, four olives, 2/8 of a brownie and soup(?), wowie zowie. What an appetizer

Man that view of Alaskan cliffs is absolutely amazing.

As someone from Europe, thanks for including the prices in euros. It's such a small detail, but it makes me feel really included without googling specific prices all the time.

Man that one ship, which he briefly referenced here, where they found that free pool table, and then the ships staff came and said "Games Over" and took their pool balls....that haunts my dreams. What a nightmare.

I *hate* the "ship within a ship" thing. There is nowhere non-retreat tier guests to get a view facing forward out of the ship, let alone outdoors. I'm sorry I don't have $20, 000 to drop on a cruise, but we all deserve at least one front facing public area.

I usually have no problem with "Ship within Ship" spaces, but they are getting to the point where 3-4 decks are for higher members only and they get higher quality everything. i feel like its getting out of hand.

Just wanna say your cruise reviews are the best on YouTube and it’s not even close. You actually review cruises critically and cut the bullshit and make it super interesting to watch. Keep up the good work and hope to see more in the future

the 'infinite veranda' seems well suited for a cold-weather cruise like this. If I was doing a Caribbean cruise, I think I'd never open it, not wanting the room to get all hot and muggy.

We went on this ship last week for our honeymoon cruise!!! Absolutely LOVED it. The staff was so nice, the shows were incredible, and although we had a slight change to our itinerary, the captain handled that with so much grace. We will be cruising with Celebrity again!

As a Cruise Consultant ... I HATE the 'ship within a ship' concept. Theyre getting so extreme now. Theyre starting to feel like first class and steerage from Titanic days

The constant upcharges and partitioning off of areas for more exclusive experiences and higher tier room packages almost feels like Bob Chapek got involved with cruise lines. I'm really loving all these cruise reviews as someone who could never survive being on a boat for a week. May they forever continue Bright-ening my day! :)

I'm from Germany and have gone on a couple of cruises with the German cruise line "Mein Schiff" (Tui, Royal Caribbean sister firm). What I like most about is that drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are included for all passengers. You never have to present your key card when ordering a drink. They also purposefully build smaller ships and the atmosphere on the ships is always quite relaxed. They are not a luxury cruise line and it doesn't feel like they're trying to charge you for everything. The captains on the ships also give at least one lecture each week, and they always have lecturers and regional experts on board presenting the next stop.

Thanks for your thorough and honest review!
