Nvidia you impressed me so much the genius behind the move to up prices by 300 bucks to discourage scalpers, what a legends...

Another wonderful video, thank you Paul! I bought GTA 5 on PS3, then PS4...I'm just saddened by what Rockstar and TakeTwo have become. From industry leaders, taking joy in creating satirical worlds, full of dialogue, story and wonder. To just nickle and diming its customer base by offering very little innovation on the same title for close to a decade.

Paul, yours is the perfect blend of entertainment and information. Well done.

For the past two years, these tech news videos are far more interesting than any computer build video out there. Good job Paul.

Regarding the power consumption of the new generation, I think current GPU development reached a dead end, especially with the exploding energy prices. I'm never going to build a pc with a 2000 watts power block to fire up a 600 watts GPU... I don't want my house to burn up... It's time they make GPUs more effective, not more powerful.

I laughed way too hard after the explosion.

And it wasn't even that funny of a mom joke 🤣

We need a machine learning part that can figure out how to make GPUs cheaper.

Intel's new psu standard is really sad.

Are we not going for performance + efficiency anymore? Just more and more power?

paul is great, calm, humble and fun. Not to forget: informative <3

That "your mom" joke was unexpected and effective. I am undone. The era of peace the last few years have cultivated clearly made me relax my guard and let my defenses decay.

Great video, Paul. I wish I could say your evil laugh needs work so I could compliment your good nature, but it doesn't, so I can't. I'll just sit here uncomfortably and sip my beverage before changing my Tech Briefs.

Rest in peace, Stephen Wilhite. And thank you for your wonderful gift to humanity.

Cool, so the 25% tariff got passed to us. And now that the 25% tariff is going away, the savings will be passed on to the corporate bank account. Why pass the savings back to customers when they could have even better profits to boast about? 😒

Inflation is record high and gas prices are soaring in the States. The tariff effect is nothing compared to those issues. I'm usually an optimist, but I think last year's situation stateside was way better than this year. Unfortunate to say that, but it's reality.

@6:34 - 6:42 Gotta say you copied the laugh perfectly!
Love the way Paul says 12VHPWR.

I always think back to the glowing reviews of the 3080 founders edition by every tech channel. Only 699 with amazing performance. Time to build a new PC. 18 months later and we are still living in the twilight zone.

Pronouncing it the same amount of times as a GIF and also as a GIF is a classic Paul move. Well played sir!

Between being genuinely informed, I really laughed my ass off with this recent Tech News report. Kudos!!😂

25% tariff gone will not mean a 25% reduction in prices of GPU

I hate how this new connector looks with the data pins, I just like everything being uniform. Also, while they're at it, why not make the ATX connector smaller too and easier to plug/unplug.

@1:55 Given that PSUs above 500w did not make the cut, I wonder, shouldn't gaming PC's (at least some range of them) get built with two good yet lower powered PSU's instead of just one powerful one? E.g. two 450-480 W power supplies, one for the GPU, and the other covering CPU+motherboard and all the rest. Besides this option being possibly cheaper than let's say a single 1000+ W PSU, the two PSU option might be even better efficiency-wise in the long run. Cases would need to support this of course, and cabling that PSU manufacturers offer might need to be sorted out, but I think there is increasing pressure to consider this.
