How can you protect cells to do this by default? We handle a lot of data, and copy and paste from various areas into cells. I want Paste Special (value) to be the only way you can paste into a cell. Is this possible? I have very complicated conditional formatting i need to protect

Thanks. I have a query if we copy and paste text data from one excel to other the size of the row changes and time has to be spent on maintaining the size of the rows again. If you can show us how we can save time on restructuring of rows that would be really helpful. thanks

So on the Home ribbon at the top of the page is a picture of a clipboard. It has the word paste under it and a tiny down arrow or "v" next to it. Do your copy and select the cells you want to paste into. Click that little "v" and you will see 2 options. "Keep Source Formatting" and "Match Destination Formatting". Click on "Match Destination Formatting" and it will paste immediately and of course match the destination formatting. And yeah. You are kind of cute Brie.

This is elementary. Please tell us how to keep the same fonts when you copy an entire worksheet into another file. Thank you.

How do you retain the color of the text from the source cell to the destination (i.e. Red to Red) in this example.

Hi that is great when in the same workbook. But when I have data in another workbook and copy and then try to paste I do not get the option to paste special which includes values only. I can create a temporary sheet paste in there and re-copy and then past it into the sheet I want but it's an extra step I want to avoid. Any suggestions?

I have an employee spreadsheet, which has duplicate tabs for holidays, electronics & Uniforms Isssued. On the main Page it shows me there name, start date, probation end date, weekly contracted hours and holiday entitlement.
What I am trying to do is copy the employee list into each subsequent tabs. When I change the colour of the cell in the main page to indicate they are no longer with us, I need the cells in all other tabs to show this colour also.

Is there a way I can make this happen. I Have used the Farmat painter but that just copies the colour and doesn't change them when changed from the "master page".

Am I doing something wrong? Many Thanks

When I copy a data from my email and paste in Excel 2013, the cell becomes 24 points and bold even when the source is 10 points and plain. What do I do in this case?

This doesn't work at all! The format changed from Text to General as soon as I pasted using your instructions.
