Not a single expectation was subverted by Marvel's second worst film Black Widow. Taskmaster is Taskmistress, ScarJo was a guest star in her own film. Hollywood's agenda over shadows every 'creative' decision and some of the worst, if not the worst, writing in The Marvel Cinematic Universe. This one gives Captain Marvel a run for it's money. Based on it's opening weekend the M-she-U is here to stay

Disney are going to milk this franchise just like Star Wars until people seen through the veneer of the Marvel label.
Of course the 'supposed' terrible writers and directors wont be held to account because its the audiences fault you dont like it!

Remember when you were a little kid playing GI Joe, Transformers, super heroes or something and a parent decided to squat down and join you but it was strange and not fun at all because they had no idea how to relate and tried way too hard to turn your imaginary scene into a morality lesson? That's how Marvel feels now.

Black Widow has no power, yet falls from great heights, gets punched and involved in car crashes and comes out unharmed.

She's got the durability of the Incredible Hulk's underpants.

They did everything they could to not have one competent male in the movie. That's a dead giveaway that the people involved had an agenda they needed pushed. Worst movie to me, for the sole reason they butchered Taskmaster and I never saw Captain Marvel.

This is up there as the top 3 worst MCU movies. This is comes in 1st place for me. I wanted the origins of Black Widow, What happened to those flash backs in Age of Ultron?? She was doing ballet and shooting. That's the movie I wanted to watch.

At this point, the only way the MCU could "subvert expectations" of audiences, would be, for them to actually stay true to the older source material.
