Показать описание
Hi everyone! I hope you all have been staying safe. It's been a while, but I'm finally back to finish up my grad school Q&A series :-)
Background: I went to UC Irvine for undergrad and Harvard Graduate School of Education for grad school/my master's degree (see comment section for difference between grad school and undergrad)! I was in the Teacher Education Program (TEP) - History cohort.
Timestamps:
0:13-2:02 Updates on where I've been
2:03-2:32 Do you plan on coming back to LA or will you establish yourself in Massachusetts?
2:33-3:14 What will you do with all your furniture and appliances when you come back?
3:15-4:09 What are your opinions on the length of your program? Congrats again btw hehe
4:10-5:56 What do you do when you felt discouraged while in the grad program?
5:57-7:05 What would you tell yourself if you could talk to June 1, 2019 Katrina?
7:06-13:20 What were some of the most difficult roadblocks you’ve encountered?
(7:52 Transferring Massachusetts License to California License aka spontaneous tears)
13:21-13:51 What is a special memory you have while living in Boston?
13:52-15:00 Best & worst advice received about navigating the education job market during this time.
15:01-16:34 Is it possible to teach history without being demoralizing? In particular ethnic history.
16:35-18:33 What is one thing you learned that you didn’t expect to?
18:34-20:00 Was grad school worth the financial investment? If you had to, would you do it all over again?
Thank you so so much to everyone who asked a question, watched the video, and supported me along my journey! It means so much and I appreciate y'all! Please stay safe and take care :)
xx,
Katrina
