she's a force.  grew up watching her.  the older i get, the more i realize how incredibly talented she really is.

The greatness of this lady is her vulnerability. She uses that to connect with everyone and disarm them completely. An eloquent speaker, driven with an acute sense of purpose, she had it all before she came to Harvard. And yet, she is so unassuming and says the Harvard graduates are better off than most - and then cautions them saying they will all face difficulties in the journey of life, but if they follow through with the moral compass within themselves, they will emerge from a temporary setback to become more of who they are and they will be ok. Amazing pointer for young ones starting out, regardless of who they are. Ms. Winfrey, you sure did ok ;-) Thank you.

Negative and bitter people are always looking for the negativity in things...but people who have goals and dreams take speeches like this and allow it to resonate with their dreams and ambitions.  Regardless of her occupation, her purpose of this speech is to inform others that they can become whatever they work hard to become!!!

A brother of mine got a scholarship to Harvard from Ireland. He got first class honours and was doing a BA in is now chief barrister with a large International company..His children have done very well in life he thought Harvard was and when he came home he had a young woman on his arm. Harvard had a brilliant young man, my brother and nurtured him and he did very well in his life. Thank you Harvard and of course Miss Oprah Winfrey
