Murad hugging his angel, who he sees as his mom was too beautiful and sad. He really loved her. Kosem as well really loved him. But their fears got the best of them. Murad fearing he would end up like Osman and Kosem that she would disappoint Ahmed.

1:54:50 my beautiful murad, such a complex and special character. his entire character development and story is so beautifully presented and i have never cried this much for a character in mc/mck. every little thing he did was for his mother's approval and so she could be proud of him and think that he is a worthy sultan.

i have all of his most vulnerable and important scenes marked, they’re all evidence that he never meant to end up like this..

sigh, i have so much to say but i am not well after his very emotionally charged death. maybe i’ll come back and add some things when i feel like it.

oh and side note, idc about the real ottoman empire/murad, i just truly enjoyed his character in the series.

I loved the death scene of Sultan Murad IV. Of course, the acting was brilliant, but the poem at the end touched my heart. Sterling script writing, thanks so much for an entertaining retelling of this story

Murad (in the series) was so selfish. He was jealous of his mom and would have destroyed his own dynasty just so that his mom couldn't have any power. Had he allowed his mom to help him instead of giving in to his pride, things could have been so different. Yusuf wanted to see the dynasty destroyed.

In my opinion it was kosem who needed to step down, Murad was a capable king to rule .She made everything dirty.

I agree with Kösem with her all decisions except two. 1) Killing Farya & Silahter 2) attempting to enthrone Cassim

I'll say Murad was the one SEEKING POWER throughout the entire series. He was too naive to see the truth. Kosem only wanted Murad to take the reins WHEN THE TIME WOULD COME. But Murad became impatient and jealous, to the point he started seeing Kosem as his enemy.

Murad one way or the other is right but his lack of understanding & his disobedient towards his mother & the law brought his downfall. Anger and hate destroyed Murad but as Kosem said he Murad has left much riches for the dynasty. So just as the soothsayer said his brother ascended. As all male children born for Murad died. Kosem is burying all her loved ones as predicted during the reign of Sultan Ahmed

Oh sultan of our bodies
Oh the holy being who take pity on us and make us happy
Oh the being who made our eyes see
Oh the Almight who make our eyes shine
You've made us shine but you also gave us sufferings
You turned us into madmen
Sometimes you made us love loneliness
Sometimes you made us chase a beautiful face
Oh you poor thing! How long will you run on the thorns of the world bare feet?
We opened up the gates to the rose gardens for you, in the other world
It's such a garden
Trees here, has living branches
They always talk to each other
Know this well
Everything is alive
A garden without life, is no good
It wouldn't add life to our lives
Life is such a strange river
Sometimes it turns into water, sometimes blood
Sometimes it turns into wine
Sometimes milk
Sometimes it gives us apples like a strange tree
Sometimes it grows pumpkins
Sometimes it poisons you
Sometimes it makes you feel thankful
Sometimes it gives you troubles
Sometimes it gives you a cure
It turns into a thorn
Sometimes a rose
Sometimes it turns into vinegar
Sometimes wine
Adam was banished from the heavens because of a snake
You were left in the world with snakes and scorpions taking the shape of humans
You live among them
Where is salvation for you?
Where is it?
Oh Sultan Murad
You're a four winged bird
You can fly to the skies if you'd like
To rise in the sky, you were able to do these
But you were worrying about finding a ladder to get to your roof
Don't think death is the end of the living
Your body dies
But your true self, the holy thing left from God will not die
Because you were created in the image of God
There are no borders or ends for God
I, the sultan of sultans
Khan of khan's
Sultan of the world
Conquerer of Baghdad
Sultan Murad Khan
My whole life
Is the poetic dream of a sultan who rules the harsh bitter realities of the universe

This is so magical that the little boy played the character of Murad was something else..i mean look at his smiling and angry face.. This little boy and the adult murad have so much similarities 😮 And I must say No matter what I am surely gonna miss our strong fearless and cruel Sultan 🥺 He was like fire ❤️‍🔥

And I Don't understand why some people are comparing Murad with Suleyman?! They born in very different time with very very different fate..Suleyman had so many trustworthy people around him and he was the longest rulling sultan of the Ottoman Empire.. Besides when Suleyman ascended the throne he was matured enough to rule the dynasty..everything was sorted and quite smooth at his time..On the contrary look at Murad.. Since his childhood he was living with fear and trauma yet he always protected his siblings & his dynasty. He ascended the throne when he was only 11 or 12 years old when the entire empire was at stake..also he died at the age of 27 which was very early..he lost everything and fought alone against everyone who back stabbed him.. Even his own mother was going to kill him from whom he never expected such things! I think murad loved his mother more than anyone else and More than kosem's anyother children did! Murad was the only capable of being a sultan compared to his other brothers including Osman ll. But he was not that fortunate 😅

Murad IV and his mother Kosem Sultan maintained a working relationship throughout his reign. Even after he started to exert his authority from around 1628 (when he was 16 years old), he still sought her advice and she was trusted enough to effectively act as regent during his frequent absences while campaigning.

At the same time, she was frustrated at her diminished influence and was only sometimes able to successfully intervene in her son's decision-making.
