The best big banks offer customers everything they need to manage their finances in a branch, at home, or on the road. These features include easy ATM access, flexible customer service hours, ranked mobile apps, and other resources to help customers handle nearly any banking situation.

My top pick for best banks in 2022 all had 4.4 or higher mobile app ratings on iOS and Android devices, an increasingly important factor as online banks and mobile apps become part of consumers' daily banking habits.

I try to consider things like minimum deposit requirements, monthly fees, overdraft fees, CD offerings, savings yields, ATM access, and other criteria to determine the best banks for personal banking.

Big banks often offer bank account bonuses, which can help you build an emergency fund.

#3 Citibank
Citibank, the fourth-largest U.S. bank by assets, offers a high-yield savings account with no minimum deposit. Most U.S. states offer the account. A mobile app and branch access are also highlights.

Citi's iOS and Android apps are highly rated. Customers can also lock or unlock a card and pay friends with Zelle.

Citbank has 700 U.S. locations.

Citibank offers competitive savings yields online, but not everywhere.

#2 PNC BANK
PNC Bank PNC purchased BBVA in June 2021, adding 600 branches in seven states for a total of 2,160.

PNC's digital tools, high-yield savings account, and avoidable fees earned it the number 3 spot on my list.

PNC's Virtual Wallet offers a number of financial health features, including "danger day" alerts that let you adjust spending or transfer funds from savings. PNC customers can use Zelle and find nearby ATMs with its app.

High-yield savings account: PNC's high-yield savings account offers a competitive APY and no minimum deposit.

High-yield savings account and three PNC checking accounts are fee-free. Money market accounts charge a fee, but it can be waived if the minimum balance is met. Region-specific account availability.

#1 Capital One
The best bank in 2022 in my opinion is Capital One. Capital One's yields rival online savings accounts and CDs. I look for these features in a bank’s 360 Checking Account: It doesn't require a minimum to open an account, doesn't charge a maintenance fee, pays a higher yield on savings, checking, and some CD terms, and offers ample ATM access.

Following industry trends, Capital One started offering early direct deposits and eliminated overdraft fees in 2021.

Capital One checking, savings, and CDs have no minimum opening deposit, making them accessible. Both checking and savings accounts are fee-free.

iOS and Android users rate Capital One's app highly.

Allpoint, MoneyPass, and Capital One ATMs are free to use. #bank #review #2022 #citibank #capitalone #pnc #credit #mikemeza #creditrepair #banking #creditcards #creditscore

Credit Unions are great alternatives, and support your local economy.

I use my local credit union and it has all of these features, no fees at all, 3, day early direct deposit, stellar app, great customer service, and probably more that I'm not thinking of..

I would recommend going with your local credit union over banks. All of these banks DO have fees and often time offer very little support. My local credit union has always great service, offers great loans, and I have never once had to pay any fees for my account. Banks are a scam, even the cool ones.

I feel like if I use one of those banks your just gonna rob it

As a Banker I can tell you those are terrible suggestions. They outsource their customer service, they are for personal profit, and they are subservient to larger Banks such as BOA and Wells Fargo.

Proceeds to name 3 big "conglomerate" banks.

CitiBank and CapitalOne both have ties to the WEF and the plans set forth for the great reset. ESG scores and more.

PNC fucked me
They did asses fees on a savings/checking, drained it over a year or so, and then hit me with -$300 charge for more fees. They refused to drop it, then tried to send it to collections.
I put money in a bank, then ended up "owing" them money about 2yrs later

Banked at the same credit union since I was 10 and I'm 40 now. I've never paid one fee in my life and have all that stuff he mentions

I banked with capital one before working with them. They take care of their employees just like their customers. Best bank hands down.

I bank with Capital One and I love it. No overdraft fee. No fees for withdrawal if you use a CVS atm. Only problem I have is depositing cash.

Citibank has under 1% in your calling that high yield, I remember when I was a little boy had a savings account and they're paying 7.5%.
