When it comes to choosing a bank, there are many factors to consider. Some people prioritize convenience and accessibility, while others are more interested in finding the best rates and fees. Here are some tips for finding the best bank for you:
1. Consider your financial needs: What do you need from your bank? Do you need a checking account, savings account, credit card, or some combination of these? Different banks offer different products and services, so it's important to consider what you need before making a decision.
2. Look for banks with low fees: Fees can add up quickly if you're not careful, so it's a good idea to find a bank with low fees for things like monthly maintenance, ATM usage, and overdrafts. Some banks even offer fee-free checking and savings accounts, which can be a great option for those who don't want to pay extra for their banking services.
3. Consider the convenience factor: Do you need a bank with a large network of branches and ATMs, or are you comfortable doing most of your banking online? Some banks have extensive networks of physical locations, while others rely more on digital banking options. It's important to consider which option is best for you based on your banking habits.
4. Read online reviews: Before choosing a bank, it's a good idea to read online reviews and ask friends and family for their recommendations. This can give you a sense of what other people think of the bank and help you make an informed decision.
5. Shop around: Don't be afraid to shop around and compare different banks before making a decision. This will help you find the best option for your needs and ensure that you're getting the best deal possible.

I don't know if you covered this already, I shifted my direct deposit from checking account to my savings account. I am paid every 2 weeks, I set up automatic transfers from savings to checking on the 14th and 28th of each month pumping up my savings. I also have a small portion direct deposited into my credit union savings account

You should do one that has the easiest ATM network deposits for online banks because some people still get paid in cash or work at a cash only business.

I love your channel and you’re on point with the top 5! I have Sofi and love it. My savings with DD is at 3.75% and Checking is at 2.5% APY. I was just approved for the CC which gives 2% unlimited CB but you get 3% unlimited CB during the 1st year only-which is still good. The only drawback to Sofi is you can not add a beneficiary to any accounts. So your assets will be tied up in Probate unless you add a Joint Account holder. That’s something to think about depending on your situation. Consult with an Attorney regarding a Revocable Trust or some other work around- again this depends on your situation.

Hello Mike...
I know this is off-topic. Sorry
I would like to know if you've ever heard of Clarity by Experian? Long story short I applied for a Kohl's card and was denied due to my "Clarity Score"! I called Experian of course the rep have no idea what had happened and why! I searched YouTube and there's very little about this company. What I did find out is Experian owes this company! How can their reps be clueless? And I don't understand why they used this score(523) which was way lower than my regular score of 805. And the kicker was the hard inquiry was placed on Transunion and not Experian! Can you inform us of this and how to dispute incorrect information? It stated I had "insufficient credit history" which is inaccurate!

Capital One doesn't even know what relationship banking is. There is no connection between banking and credits, so "relationship" isn't even quantified. I initially had a platinum card, but stopped using because they never raised the limit or offered to upgrade it. On the banking side, they were one of the first to offer a 5% apy on a CD. After over a week of applying on the website, they still hadn't open it. Capital One is a joke. My wife has a relationship with them. I thought it was going well with banking and credit cards, but they still turned her down for the Venture X.

I pay in cash I receive cash

How do you deposit money if paid in cash . I haven’t worked since I was 30
I exchanged money here and there . But I’m kinda retired now .
But where can I deposit cash if it’s online .

I do want a high yield.
That I can grab if I need it .

Hello Mike, I like Capital one for my checking and savings accounts. Can you do a video on Signature FCU and Affinity FCU? They seem like good choices for credit unions.

Does navy federal do hard pulls on their credit limit increases now? Because on their website it says that they do.

If I end current banking relationships to start new ones, will it affect my credit score? I don't want to have too many accounts.

I have been using the Schwab Account for 20 years. I would never go back to a regular bank for checking again. Fidelity CMA is also good.

I had capital one checking and they closed my account due to fraud. They said I became high risk which is crazy because fraud was out of my hands!
