Hurricane Ian Makes Landfall In South Carolina As Category 1 Storm

Hurricane Ian has made landfall in Georgetown, S.C., as a Category 1 storm. NBC's Shaquille Brewster reports from Charleston on how residents are combating flooding in the area, and how police are sheltering in place due to the conditions of the storm.

I live in Charleston. We have much worse conditions with our thunderstorms than what this hurricane brought us. My heart is with Florida. They didn't fare as well.

Ian has now like Charley in 04’ hit two places I lived for more than 5 years. Flooded Kissimmee in Florida, and is going over North Myrtle Beach. Almost the same path as Charley. Crazy coincidence.
