Hi, thank you for the tutorial. First of all - I want to emphasise the importance of NOT doing the "in-line" subform, but as described building a form first and then adding it as subform. The author says "this is the only correct way" - and the reason is, that with the in-line subform you are not able to access the data later on. Learned it the hard way myself.

I just have one question - why do I need to relate the order item to the order number? Is it for the purpose to be able to display all order items and then be able to see which order are they coming from? Can I do the same by building a report from the subform and then add the order number as a related field from the main form?
