Jumper’s Knee: Stop Jumping Part 1 (Fix Patellar Tendon Pain)

preview_player
Показать описание
If you have Jumper’s Knee (Patellar Tendinopathy), you most likely have pathology. When you have pathology and you do explosive activities (jumping, landing, and changing direction), you are compressing the weak collagens and telling them to act more like cartilage cells. This is not good for pathology or pain. Stop the jumping and start doing heavy isometrics and possibly isotonics in the weightroom to heal the structure before you go back into the explosive activities.

Any chance you could do a video breaking down getting back to plyo’s & when someone is ready to get back to plyo’s? Also progressions for advancing. LOVE the series so far bro !

Nice, the finger trap analogy makes a lot of sense !!

Also... do you think some people may plateau after long periods of no weights and only jumping/fast movements due to the way tendon cells lose their ability to function?

Have you heard of kneesovertoes guy and the ATG methodology? If so, what is your thought on that approach as it relates specifically to patellar tendinopathy rehab?
I think there's a lot of good material, what I'm trying to figure out as it relates to my patellar tendinopathy is whether I need more heavy, slow, resistance training in my rehab as compared to the ATG for rehab approach.

Would this be the same idea for the quad tendon? If caused by the same explosive movements ?

Hey Jake,
I always heare, that I have to stop doing Exersices that are hurting. My Problem is, that my Pain comes always after the Exersice so I can‘t stop it while Im doing it. I have Chondromalacia Patellar, but I heard so far, is that these both nearly have the same process. Do you know what I can do?
