Fun fact - when I was a kid back in the early/mid-1980s, there was a skating rink in my hometown that served iced pickle juice as an actual drink. I don't know if that was just an 80s fad or actually just a product unique to that one business, but I do remember that it was an extremely popular thing. Any time I mention that now, people act like pickle juice served over ice is the weirdest thing they've ever heard of. But back when I was a kid I remember it being popular enough that nobody really questioned it.

I just made my own pickles for the first time last month! I made one jar with jalapenos, and 2 more of sweeter pickles with dill and garlic. They're still good~ I think I would like to try Grillo's though. That's the flavor profile I'm looking for: Dill-forward, a good hint of garlic and plenty of salt, not too much vinegar but more of a half-sour.
