When is the best time to weigh yourself? 📉

Our body weight is something that fluctuates every single day, so when you're weighing yourself, you want to eliminate as many variables and be consistent as possible.

I would recommend weighing yourself first thing in the morning after you go to the bathroom and before you eat. Also in just your under or naked if that wasn't also obvious.

If your closely tracking your weight, I would recommend weighing yourself every single day and grabbing the weekly average as this gives you a better representation of your overall weight. Then you can use that to compare with next week to see if you've lost or gained weight.

In theory though, it doesn't really matter when you weigh yourself. As long as the environment you're doing it in is consistent, you're still able to gauge your weight loss and weight gain!

I have weighed myself in the morning, naked, after peeing and before eating almost every single day since 2020. My scale is connected to my phone so I get all the info in the app about weight, fat, water, muscle and bones. It's awesome!

Honestly, morning after using the restroom and before eating is the only way. Doing it at night is too many variables for average people that aren't going to have a meal prep. Their food will vary and so will their salt and water intake. I can easily weigh around 6lb more at nights after I'm full, and for me that would be like 3 months of fat loss undone or about 4-5% bf difference of I were to think it was my true weight.

Great advice, check the scale once a day and if it goes up don't panic just wait till the end of the week as there's so many factors that can cause u to hold weight that's not fat

I was eating in a deficit, tracking every cal, went from (over about 3 weeks) 75kg to 71.6 and went on holiday for 3 days. Didn't track just ate whatever I wanted and I came back and I was 74kgs 💀. Plan was to eat at maintenance then bulk after holiday (at 71 kgs) so I've put it all back on which sucks.

(Been almost 2 weeks now so it's not just wate r retention)

I never understood why people weight themselves at the gym before and after w workout…. and these people aren’t trying to make weight for some competition… they’re just walking for 20 min on the treadmill… I’ve seen it happen from the same people.. even if they lost a pound, it’s probably water they’re gonna gain it right back taking a chug
