Mr AMG on the New 8 Series! BMW’s Flagship Sports Car!

BMW’s New Flagship Sports GT!! Welcome back to RBR guys! It’s been a 1 month hiatus since we last presented some cars and magic to you, and ironically Mr AMG starts the year with Munich’s new Flagship Top Model, the revival of the 8 Series!

But I know what you’re thinking, this is just marketing speak right? Isn’t it a direct replacement of the previous 6 Series coupe? Well yes! And No. You see it’s a little more complicated than a Badge Change. Let’s explore with our usual VFX how the outgoing 6 Series compares to this 8 Series, in both shape and purpose.

Indeed if I said 8 series previously, you’d immediately think of the legendary E31 8 Series, a car we much also explore, along with it’s origins!

BMW refer to it as a Sports Car, rather than a GT. And their goal was “Thrilling driving dynamics” By putting their best technology and developments of Body, powertrain and suspension - and provide agility, precision and poise expected of a top-class sports car. On the full drive, we’ll explore whether it has the right to be called a sports car.

We’ll also see how the diesel fares, and where it sits in the line up vs the m850i and upcoming M8. And speaking of the M8, we have a tasty M8 render and some other surprises too. :)
