Completely agree. I graduated from Honda to Volkswagen. But i very well knew what I was entering into. But the decision was worth it.

Poor excuse for bad engineering. There is a reason even in american markets, japanese brands are selling in high numbers.

He is wrong, maintanence is a drawback not a feature. Disservice to engineering

Indian middle class waise hi apne budget se bahut upar ja kr car khareedta hai. Agar aapko baar baar petrol ka price aur mileage dekhna padta hai to aapko 10-12 lakh se upar jaana hi nhi chahiye.

What is the point if you don’t get the reliable car after paying premium?

I had a Volkswagen Polo, and I maintained it for 8 years. With the money I spent on servicing, I could buy a new car. The car servicing was super bad. I was spending money, but the problems weren't getting fixed. I had to send back the car for the same problem immediately because the issue wasn't fixed. Once, I gave my car for servicing after floods, and the service center guy said water entered my exhaust, and it would cost 60K (60K is not a huge amount for servicing my car BTW). The insurance would take care of it. My house is at a good height, and if my house was flooded, that means the floods were catastrophic. I said I would think and ran to the service center because I felt he was going to replace parts. I later searched for a third-party specialist and got it serviced for 30K.

What you said is disrespect to all the car owners who happily own Japanese or Korean cars.

V W, Merc, BM sab ka service bill dekh lo labour charge very high hota hai, But technicians ko to peanuts hi dete hai salary.
US aur EU me technicians are paid very well so high service cost in EU/US is valid but india me technicians ko decent salary bhi nahi dete aur unke naam pe high Labour charges wasool karte hai.

I love how he belittled japanese and American car owners just to shine out in luxurious car owner's eyes

That is not entirely true, European cars aren't superior in India in any way the servicing is expensive and still it is not that good and reliable whereas Japenese brands are much better at reliability and your channel has said it as well

True I had honda city and then bought slavia apart from mileage german cars are more fun to drive than Japanese cars
Plus point is skoda offers compulsory 4 years service packages which is just for 25k

My hilux 10, 000 Kms service is done today and bill is 16, 000 rs. Its just not oil. Split goes like thisDiesel Injector cleaner 1327 Rs, Engine flush 1276rs, Gasket 52rs, Ac cleaner 1701 rs, odor neutralizer 878 rs, mech care 655 rs, adblue 1000rs, oil 5200 rs, filter 402 rs and few other things plus some 2.8k tax. bill is in my hand.. it depends just oil needed or you wanted to make a complete service. I did own a polo i agree it needs high maintaince but end of the day its up to you how much u want to spent to make sure its perfect condition.. including using only shell fuel to use premium washing center.. its mentality mainly.. cheap german fix also exist same like japanese..

But because of the TAXATION system I’m not buying any luxury car in India. Im not a fool to pay 1.5X times for luxury car in India compared to USA or UAE

I am ok with it, and i bought to lean driving but keeping it as itbis running good.
