Nonsensical advice. Who knows if it is true or not. I have bought two used Mercedes Benz, one from a dealership and the other from Carmax. Both have had no issues for over 2 years of ownership. The next best advice i would give is to never buy a German car from a private owner. When a private owner sells a Mercedes Benz it is most likely because the car has some problems.
