Just going over a few reasons you should NOT buy a motorcycle. But let's be honest, none of these are good enough reasons not to get on two wheels and ride! don't let me be the one to dissuade you!

Only thing stopping me from buying a bike had a friend lost someone close from riding years ago, got hit coming out of a turn. Always in the back of my head every time I get the itch to buy one

I ride to work a lot. But I still have a regular vehicle for bad weather or when I need to stop for groceries on the way home. My bike’s close to a daily driver, but it’s still secondary.

I agree it’s a waste of money. Usually people want to show and impress people that gets old real fast. No music, no girlfriend to talk to next to you. Wear leathers and helmet it’s super hot outside. You start sweating at red lights. Put up with idiot drivers. I love bikes but I would rather have a classic convertible car or a nice boat if I had the only one choice

$110 a year insurance 2 tires $100 every 3 years. 3 quarts of oil every 3000 miles, 60 mpg mixed driving $40 belt every 15, 000miles tabs $20 yearly. It might not be considered a "motorcycle" but my kymco people 250 is awsome 18, 000 miles in 2 summers here in Minnesota and I ride till they salt the roads stay safe and god bless everyone

Motorcycles require a lot more maintenance that cars do. The only reason I would say don't get a bike is if you can't afford it. I think very few people once they ride 1 they would not like it. The biggest reason I bought (with my own money) my first 1 was because my Dad wouldn't let me take the 1 he bought for me when I left home.

I loved motorcycles when I was a kid. Had one in my early twenties and finally convinced my wife to let me buy one again. Financially it made sense since parking for a car costs about $35 a day where I work compared to $4 a day for motorcycles. (Before covid anyway)

My first two years I had a bike only as my vehicle. In Massachusetts too, road year round, snow storms and everything haha

I had a motorcycle as my main form of transportation from 21-26. I wouldn't do it again but I have some great stories/memories from it.

Don't buy a motorcycle because you think it is cheap transportation. Only ride one because you like it. I love them! Mine are all old but loving them never stops. Bringing old girls back to life is a fun thing to me, even if she doesn't want to. Old KZs and especially my 85 turbo Kawi. Once you ride something cool, you can't not be a rider. Sorry, can't think of any reaon not to ride, Jon.

sucks a bit in the winter time, having to take the bus to work but it's not that bad

I fully bought into the click bait cause I like your content, but then the thought hit me, these kinds of videos are actually rather important. As much as i want as many riders as possible out there, I think if someone can be talked out of riding then they have no business being on the road in the first place. It's not just a passion, it's a *skill* that can get you and other people hurt or killed if you lack the basic desire to properly do it.
